This game has been around for a long time, and I enjoying watching the playthrough on YouTube, so I decided to give it a try. And it was not what I remembered.

The story of Corpse Party follows a group of students and their teacher who are sucked through a supernatural portal into a paranormal nexus that is perpetuated by the tortured souls of some murdered children 30 years ago. The group is split up into different dimensions and have no way of knowing if they can reconnect with their fellow classmates, or return home. The premise and the dialong are pretty much the same, but when I saw the playthrough, I remember many more full screen graphics and the quality or art being much better. Then a friend told me that this version, the Steam version was actually a knock off of the original PSP Version. I got about halfway through Chapter 3 before I found this out, and that is why this series has been discontinued.

None of the blood, none of the gore, it’s like this version has been completely stripped of all of its horror and fear simply so it can be more family friendly entry into Steam’s Library. At least they kept the buttered pooper line, that always made me laugh.

It is available on Steam for $14.99
