After years of planning and putting it off and planning and putting it off - we FINALLY start the first season of SLWL Wrestling.
The magic behind The Salt Lick Wrestling League is that 95% of the wrestlers have been created by the audience. Their stats and move sets have been randomly generated. And the matches are completely AI controlled, for a completely immersive, audience-invested experience. I have no idea how ANY of the matches are going to turn out, so everybody's reactions are genuine. It allows the audience to not only support their creation, but to cheer for others in the community and watch others succeed.
During all of August, we hold a rigid schedule to give every wrestler a win-loss record. Every Thursday and Saturday our colorful superstars battle head to head to earn a limited spot in the post season. The top eight wrestlers from the men's division and women's division square off in a single elimination tournament to see who will be crowned #1 Championship Contender and will earn their title match against the current SLWL Men's and Women's Champion.
The final stream of the month is our "Wrestlemania", called The SLWL SALT-A-PALOOZA (named by Snoopypupper). We have some high profile matches, a 3-on-3 Elimination Tag match for the men and the women, and then the Main Events, A One-on-One match between the #1 Championship Contender and The Current Champion for the Men's and Women's division.
Because of the fantastic response and the overall enjoyment, we WILL be making the SLWL a yearly event. Every August, we will be holding our wrestling season, bringing on new rookies and continuing the tradition of watching everyone kick the crap out of Donald Trump.
And THE BEST NEWS, for future seasons, we will be upgrading our game from WWE 2K19 to WWE 2K23 - this will allow everyone to resubmit their wrestlers with custom faces, custom artwork, new stats, new entrance music for a more realistic experience. The graphics and realism in WWE 2K23 is mind-blowing. Wrestlers actually get SWEATY during the matches, the motion is more subtle and the textures are of a higher caliber.
