When I first saw Pinstripe in the Steam Store it looked a lot like Oxenfree. But when I started playing it, I learned it was anything but. The story is rich and the characters are interesting. Even though the game is relatively short, the replay-ability is nice since you can go back and pick up items and unlock rooms that you weren’t able to the first run through.
The story follows Ted, a disgraced minister who is on a train with his daughter Bo. They meet a sinister character by the name of Mr. Pinstripe who kidnaps Bo, insults Ted and runs off to his parsonage. Ted, on his journey to rescue Bo, runs into several familiar faces that instantly recognize him, but he can’t quite place them. In the end, Ted rescues Bo by defeating Mr. Pinstripe, but discovers a horrible truth in the process.
Like I said earlier, this is a short game, you could most likely run through it in an hour or so, but the first time through, you want to make sure to pick up all the clues to get those elusive achievements. Not a selling point for me, but PewdiePie and JackSepticEye have voice roles in this game as NPCs. I would definitely recommend picking up this game.
If you are interested in buying Pinstripe, you can do so on Steam for $14.99
