From the writers & directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy set in modern day Los Angeles.

You play as Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man, whose mech-suit is destroyed in a battle against his nemesis, forcing him to take a job at a superhero dispatch center: not as a hero, but a dispatcher. In charge of rehabilitating a group of ex-supervillains, you must manage your roster while navigating office relationships and rebuilding your suit for a shot at revenge. In Dispatch, every decision you make influences the unfolding narrative. From banter in the breakroom to life-or-death situations in the field, your choices affect your relationships with the heroes, their allegiances, and the path your own story takes.

Use the strategy map to review ongoing emergencies and deploy the right (or wrong) heroes to deal with them. Balance the risks and rewards as you make tactical decisions, knowing that each choice can have lasting consequences for your team and the city. Managing heroes sometimes goes beyond their powers. Each hero comes with quirks, flaws, and baggage you’ll need to navigate to keep the team together. Upgrade their skills and unlock abilities to boost their effectiveness in the field.

This game was recommended to me by a dear friend and I can see why. The writing is amazing and the humor is right up my alley. There isn’t that much game play, since it is more of an interactive story, which is why I activated the interactive trigger points for cut scenes. The story is all about growth. Growth after the loss of losing your super mecha suit. Growth of becoming a hero after being a villain. Growth after the loss of a friend. Growth of trust in yourself and others to become a team. The voice cast is phenominal: Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, Jeffrey Wright, Matthew Mercer, JackSepticeye, Travis Willingham, Fahim Anwar, MoistCr1TiKaL and Yung Gravy! I have never laughed, cried, gasped and held my breath this much for a video game in my life, so it’s no wonder it won 3 BAFTAs in 2026 and a Steam Award for Outstanding Story-rich Game in 2025. I’ll definitely be playing this game again to get all the achievements and make different choices.

If you are interested in purchasing Dispatch, you can get it on STEAM for $29.99.
