I awoke on Saturday morning to the sound of sirens blaring by the house at 9:30am nd wondered where the fire was. Little did I know that the “fire” was just six blocks from my house, or rather stabbing! WITI Fox News has reported that two 12 year old girls have stabbed another 12 year old claiming that they were attempting to become proxxies of Slenderman.
Although, the reporter doesn’t get all the facts straight about Slenderman and his proxxies, it does point ot one site in particular creepypasta.com. Now I have already contacted them about this development, but we need to look at the bigger picture here. ALL OF THESE STORIES ARE FICTION AND I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO THINKS THAT SLENDERMAN, JEFF THE KILLER, THE RAKE, SMILE DOG OR ANYONE ELSE ARE REAL. They were invented by someone’s imagination. Yes it’s fun to pretend they are real, but we need to learn there is a difference between reality and fantasy, and Teh Creepypastnetwork.com, creepypasta.com, the creepypasta wiki, all of its stories, and characters are ALL FANTASY!
I really don’t know how to make it more simpler than that. Maybe we need to start putting age restrictions and parental control on the CPN, but I would like to think that most if not all of the memeber of this great nation are level headed enough not to think they can summon up one of the creepypasta creatures in real life.
I would also like to address those parents that forgot to teach their children the difference between the two. WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!? These kids are developing minds, and if you are not there to teach them the difference between right and wrong, then they are going to glom onto anything that seems like a good idea. In the absence of light, darkness prevails, and you only have yourselves to blame.
The two girlswho stabbed the other 12 year old over 19 times, are charged with first-degree intentional homicide and may face 60- years in prison. THEY’LL BE 72 WHEN THEY GET OUT! It’s tragic that their lives are pretty much over because they weren’t armed with the common sense to know what’s right and what’s wrong. I can only hope that this tragic event will make the rest of you think what’s really important and that this is only for fun, and not real.
